So most everyone is thrilled about David Cook and his win on AI.  David is off to a fabulous start for what will undoubtedly be a long and successful career.  Now I am asking for everyones help in KC and beyond!  For those who do not know, Andy Skib is a longtime friend and formerly performed with David in the group MWK (Midwest Kings) in Tulsa.  Andy has recently been in LA working on his own project "To Have Heroes".  Amazingly, he does not yet have a label and we are just now beginning to hear of him.  He is an amazing talent.  He has an incredible voice, a wonderful wit (you can actually see him on David's latest Vlog), and is very responsive to his rapidly growing base of fans.  I have no doubt we will all be hearing more from Andy in the future!  I want to ask everyones help to get the ball rolling.  I think it would be fabulous if we could get airplay for Andy here in KC and beyond.  Andy has a myspace for "To Have Heroes" where you can go and see for yourself.  And once you are "in" let's see what we can do about getting him some air time!!!

Andy is AMAZING!!! I found out about his music about a month ago and I am soo happy I did! David was launched through AI, his career WILL be long and fruitful. Now WE ALL need to help Andy! His music is..ummm..well...I can't even think of how to describe it. If you've already heard it you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't heard it yet, then RUN do not walk to his site and have a listen!! You will not regret it. Even though we all know how great he and his music are, airtime is very important. Buy his music and promote,promote,promote it to as many radio stations as you can!

ANDY SKIB IS FANTASTIC..HIS FANS THE WORD HEROES (FANS OF BOTH DAVID COOK THE ORIGINAL WORD NERD AND ANDY) ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT HIM. SO THANK U SO MUCH FOXKC FOR HELPING WITH THAT!

BEING AN OFFICIAL WORD HERO ISNT JUST A TITLE. IT COMES WITH A RESPONSIBILITY.

UR JOB.. SHOULD U CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT, IS TO PROMOTE ANDY AND HIS AWESOME MUSIC MUCH THE SAME AS WE ALL DID WITH DAVID.

YEAH WE ARE ALL FANS OF THE BROMANCE, BUT ITS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC AND THE FANTASTIC CAREERS DAVID AND ANDY ARE SURE TO HAVE IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE!

SO PLEASE REMEMBER TO PICK UP MULTIPLE COPIES OF LD AND NOT ONLY GIVE THEM TO EVERYONE U KNOW, BUT ALSO STRANGERS ON THE STREET (CASUE U DONT CARE IF THEY THINK U ARE CRAZY ANYWAY RIGHT?) AND MOST IMPORTANTLY UR LOCAL RADIO STATIONS. I TRULY BELIEVE ONE DAY SOON WE ARE GONNA BE LISTENING AND THE DJ WILL SAY "DONT KNOW WHO THIS ANDY SKIB FROM MWK IS BUT HE ROCKS..AND EVERYONE IS GONNA KNOW HIS NAME SOON."

For me, one of the greatest things about David Cook being on American Idol is the attention that it has brought to the musical talents of Andy Skib. He has one of the most unique voices I've ever heard. Go to the To Have Heroes myspace page or reverbnation page and give his music a listen. If you like it definately buy it. I recommend downloading it from snocap.com so you can get the exclusive song "Forever."

We rocked the vote for David, now let's ROCK THE AIRWAVES FOR ANDY!!!!!!!!

Word Nerds are a WORLD WIDE fanbase and from what I can tell almost ALL the Word Nerds as well as fans all across the country and beyond love Andy.

David and Andy have brought something back to music that has been lacking for a long time. Originality and creativity.
How many other David Cooks and Andy Skibs are out there? As David would probably say: A plethora.

These guys have given us the avenue to discover music that can move souls again.

Most definitely check out Andy on his myspace page or reverbnation. The guy is downright adorable, witty and personable, just like his friend David Cook! No wonder we love these guys! They are awesome! Andy is soooo talented. I guarantee you will love his music once you give it a listen!

I have to confess, after months( & I seriously mean months) of just listening to David Cook,I am in LOVE with Andy Skib's music! His songs are great. Just like with David's music, I find myself at a loss for words when it comes to describing it. You just have to hear it for yourself. It would be awesome if Andy could get some KC airplay!
Everyone, be sure to check out Andy's music(To Have Heroes) on myspace and reverbnation. You won't be disapointed. He is truly talented, very adorable, and extremely kind to his fans!! (Sounds like another hot musician we all know, huh?)

I too amd a Word Nerd and Word Hero who has been loving David Cook and now amd loving Andy's music.

Andy Skib's music needs to be played, and played a lot. He writes and sings songs that bring you to a different place; and, leave you craving more more every song he yet to write. This man is going to be huge.

Give BIG TIME AIR TIME for Andy Skib.

omg! If you haven't gone yet....GO! Listen to Andy Skib;s music! You will not be disappointed!

He is such a fantastic singer/songwriter/musician it simply amazes me a label hasn't snagged him yet!!

People please don't let Andy slip through the cracks!!

I too, first heard Andy Skib's wonderful voice through David Cook. And I loved it immediately. But it wasn't until I found his latest project, To Have Heroes, that I was completely enthralled. Andy has certainly been getting played more than DC around my house recently! Shhh... don't tell David ;) I am happy to help promote To Have Heroes in any way that I can, because I BELIEVE in the music, and the integrity of the man behind it.
