I recently  started looking for some investment property, and my broker has sent me several hundred New Forclosure listings just in the past 2 weeks,  The list seems to grow daily,   I ask him how their could be so many, I would think that with the number of these that their is that we would start seeing some of these mortgage companies filling bancruptcy,

He recently told me that 1 in 12 homes in the Midwest are in some stage of Foreclosure, and that of those 1 in 12 families,  that about 70% of them would recover and either refinance or just get caught up on their payments, but then within 18 months that Half of them would Loose their homes anyway,  

Most of these homes I have looked at were lost due to ARM's (sub prime lending)

The Mortgage companies are Crying about all the money they are losing, but why arent they doing anything about it,  Im seeing homes that People Owed 240K  and the banks are willing to sell them for 175-185K 

I would think that the Mortgage companies would be better off to freeze the current interest rate they had when they were able to make the original payment,  rather than raising their payment  by 30-50 percent and getting the home back by forclosure,

Im glad to be out Buying and not selling in this market, but I do feel for those that were taken advantage off by the mortgage companies,  after all they are the ones that created this mess by loaning money to people that they once would not loan to due to credit history and by offering to loan 125% of value,  The next depression has begun

First off,  I quit smoking a year ago, I smoked to 25 years, and chewed tobacco for 3 years,

I think its Wrong for the goverment to tell Private business that they cant allow smokers in their private owned businesses.

I still go to bars and restaurants in other cities and states that allow smoking,  No one makes me go into these places I do it by choice,

If the goverment wants to make something illegal,  how about arestting people that smoke in their cars when they are transporting children, these are the true ignorant ones that should pay Huge fines for doing somethins so Stupid and selfish. 

I wonder what the Next  consumer good that the goverment will put a 400% tax on once they finally  outlaw cigarettes,  they will have to tax something else to make up for the Multi BILLION dollar loss that will occur once cigarettes are gone..         Maybe it will be Soda pop, 

Remember this is all about Money,  If the goverment truly wanted everyone to quit smoking they would just outlaw them.   The same goes for speeding,  if the goverment didnt want you to speed,  they would mandate the Car builders to make vehicles that would not go over 70MPH,  but then they would have to find another place to make up that shortfall of money that  speeding tickets generate.

Missouri Used Millions of Dollars from Tobacco companies last year to make up for cash shortages in our Local Goverment,  So what happens when that money goes away,  I guess Taxes get Raised,

The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a Nativity Scene at the United States Capital this Christmas season.


This isn't for any religious reason, they simply have not been able to find three wise men and a virgin in the Nation's capitol.

There was no problem, however, finding enough asses to fill the stable

Anyone else seen this list,  it claims that Kansas City is the 18th Most Dangerous city in America ??

What do you think ?  do you belive this ?  do you feel in danger while in KC ??

Im in and out of KC everyday, I dont feel threatened at anytime,  I have been to 3 concerts at the Sprint Center at night and havent felt this way,

So I guess the rating was based on our Homicide numbers,  Im not sure, but I do think about my property Value when I see things like this,   thank goodness that most of my property I own is outside of KC.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge about this product ?  it claims to cut your heating bills in half,  I have tried to find some forums about them, but I have not been able to find very many consumer reviews, so any help would be great,  I have also written Carrie Coogan about a try it before you buy it ?

I thought they Only Manufacteured Meth in Independence.  We I guess this guy was trying his hand at a Home business,  guess that wont be working out for him,

The news said their was 130 plants,  I wonder if all of them made it to the Independence police station or not,   Or was their really more than that and thats all their claiming.

the 75000.00 value I think is a made up number to make the cops look like they really did something.   Their was a article a few years ago about the claimed value of these plants they would find on peoples property,  and the article said that most of the time that the marijuana that was found growing in peoples property or homes would be such a low grade that it really had no street value,  and the way they would come up with a dollar value to tell the media was by using what the street price of an ounce is and multiplying that by the 2-3-or 500 pounds of wet pot plants they would pull out of the ground.  when in fact the actual dried weight is what they should go by,  Im not trying to justify what this guy was doing,  He was wrong,  and he was growing more than just a personal use amount,  but the cops are going to make him look like a major drug lord with the numbers they told the media,  so this guy will probably serve a very long jail sentence,  

hopefully they can catch one of these meth labs in Independence thats producing the big quantities of drugs like they claimed this guy was doing.

I posted a couple post about this big rallie at the Ozarks, looking foward to it and getting excited about it, Sevral of my friends and I rode down Friday afternoon, only to be Very Disappointed,  Full Throttle Magazine put this little get together on, they did a pretty good job of it,  but they allowed  a single Business down their to be the Un-officail MC of the entiere event,  This is a Man that Owns the Horny Toad Bar at Lake of the Ozarks,  he Pretty much ruined it for all theat attended the event  and  he really ruined it for all the Vendors that paid him for their vending spots,  he put the vendors down in a hole behind the porta potties and the trash dumpsters, and charged 75.00 cor a concert pass,  but when that didnt do as well as he thought, then he just let everyone in for free, not thinking about the poor people that paid, 

The lake of the Ozarks brought in Police from outlining areas because they were afraid the Hell's Angels would show up,  (atleast thats what they said the reason was) and lots of the bikers were harrassed by the law,  mostly ticketed for wearing Un-approved helmets,  75.00 fine, (seatbelts only 25.00 fine)

Keep in mind,  most of these people spent near 20 grand on their bikes and some spent 2 and 3 times that,  these people have money and most are professionals and are not the hells Angels, that a stereo type,

So to anyone that read my  original post and went down to this event,  I just wanted to say Im sorry if  you went,  and was treated bad by the town and the law,

We went and between the motel and food and drink,  and souveniers,  we spent just under 800.00 for 3 days, 

I cannot belive that a area that Depends on tourism would treat their guest so bad,

this was an event that was designed to give the Merchants down their one final chance to make a little cash,  after all theier main season ended  after Labor day.

15000 people showed up for this Bikefest,  thats more than triple what the original sturgis rallie had, 

But I bet they wont go back next year.

I think the lake area made a bad call on this one,

Did I hear the news at 10pm correctly ?  sprint was able to put a number on how many tickets the public would get and how many would be reserved for ticket brokers ???

is their a Kick back going on here that we should know about ???

We the Tax payers build it,  but we can not use it because the corporate greed is eating up all the tickets,

Its too bad a full on Boycott wouldnt work, so they would have to cancel several shows, but you would never get everyone to do it,  I miss the old days of standing in line at 7th heaven or Tigers Records, to get tickets, ( guess im showing my age)

2 shows now that I have tried to get tickets too and have failed,  fortunatly some kid will sneak in a camcorder and you will be able to download the concert on line within 24 hours of it happening, (of course you would only do this if it were legal and you had the written consent of the atrist.)

When will Sprint be done putting it to Kansas City ?

Remember 20 - 25 years ago when OP was the place to be and Grandview was starting to turn to a crime area ?   and now OPKS crime rate is higher than Grandview,

How does this happen ?  and its not just OP,  Lee's Summit, and other suburbs are turning to crap,  its time for all this crime to stop,  but how ?

We all work hard and buy property with the hope that the value will go up,  but instead it drops because crime goes up,  and we as the american public just sit their and watch our hard earned property go down in value,  when will it end ?

I know this isnt News,  But every day I drive thru Down town and I see The big Green Kansas City Star Building,   and   the Smashed pumpkin looking Sprint Center,

Im not sure which one looks worse, but neither of them has done anything to improve KC's skyline,    This is just my opinion,  My neighbor helped build the KC Star Building,  he said on the front end of the project it was suppose to be some high tech looking building, but after it was done he even stated that it just looks like another cheap glass building, (kind of like a Car dealership)

you think you can dance  91.00 - 291.00 each

and keep in mind the ticket service they have choose to use also charges an additional fee on top of the ticket price,  

Im sure in 10 years it will only cost 2.00 to get in to the sprint center,  of course by then it will be renamed Super Flea,

ticketmaster doesnt have tickets for sprint center events,  looks like you have to go thru
