This morning, shoppers apparently broke down the doors of a Valley Stream Wal-Mart, and, in the process, trampled a Wal-Mart greeter to death around 5 a.m. The Nassau County police tell Newsday the store was a "mob scene" and that the worker was a temporary, part-time employee. One witness, Kimberly Cribbs of Far Rockaway, said that other Wal-Mart employees (some of whom were crying) asked shoppers to leave: Though rumors circulated among the shoppers that someone had been badly injured, people ignored the Wal-Mart workers' requests that they stop shopping, move to the front of the store and exit, Cribbs said. "They kept shopping. It's not right. They're savages," Cribbs said. She said she entered the store after the worker was already being attended to by emergency personnel. As people waited, then pushed into the store, she said, "It was chaos." A Wal-Mart employee, Jimmy Overby, told the Daily News, "He was bum-rushed by 200 people. They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too...I literally had to fight people off my back." The Post reports that four other people--including a pregnant woman who was knocked to the floor--were taken to the hospital.

Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited until you try to sit in their pews.

Many folks want to serve God, But only as advisers.

It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live one.

I have thought alot about how different life is today versus when I was growing up back in the 60’s & 70’s, and here are just a few of the acceptable behaviors by many in today’s society.

1. Killing babies without conscience

2. Porn on demand

3. Gambling at every street corner

4. Deviant sex like homosexuality now acceptable and mainstream

5. Living together without marriage

6. Divorce is rampant

7. Children being raised in every kind of environment by any number of people as they grow up

8. Alcohol and drug use commonplace.

These are acceptable behaviors? Not by my standards, that is just my beliefs.

Some people also talk about religion always wanting money, that is true, it is like anything else, it does take money to operate and function to win souls to Jesus and if your heart is right with Jesus, it will make perfect sense to you. Yes there are some people that misuse that money, but most do not, so, please don’t put everyone in the same basket.

Think About it… this is what happens when GOD is taken out of our society.

The wrath of God's judgment is coming whether you believe it or not.

The other day I read the most accurate description of our world today I have

EVER SEEN. Let me share it with you, "For although they knew God, they

neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking

became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed

to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God

for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual

impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged

the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather

than the Creator-who is forever praised. Because of this, God gave them over

to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for

unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations

with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed

indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for

their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to

retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do

what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of

wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder,

strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters,

insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they

disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things

deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also

approve of those who practice them."

 

Actually, this came from GOD Himself in Romans 1:21-32. I, especially, like

the line in verse 25, "They exchanged the truth of God for a lie." If that

doesn't describe our culture today perfectly, I don't know what does. Satan,

the great perverter, has told the lie enough times that people have now

accepted the lie as the truth, and rejected the truth as a lie exactly as

God said they would.

When we thought we have heard it all.......

 

A Michigan man is seeking $70 million from two Christian publishers for emotional distress and mental instability he received during the past 20 years from versions of the Bible that refer to homosexuality as a sin. Bradley LaShawn Fowler, a gay man, claims his constitutional rights were infringed upon by Zondervan Publishing Co. and Thomas Nelson Publishing, both of which, he claims, deliberately caused homosexuals to suffer by misinterpretation of the Bible. Fowler, 39, is seeking $60 million from Zondervan and another $10 million from Thomas Nelson. According to a USA Today report, Fowler’s two separate suits against the publishers claim the intent of the Bible revisions that refer to homosexuals as sinners reflect an individual opinion or a group's conclusion. Fowler says the deliberate changes made to first Corinthians, chapter six, verse nine caused him "or anyone who is a homosexual to endure verbal abuse, discrimination, episodes of hate, and physical violence ... including murder."

I know someone will be touched by this if not all of us...

 

As you got up this morning, I watched you and hoped you world talk to me, even if it were just a few words, asking my opinion or thanking me for something good that happened in your life yesterday, but I noticed you were too busy trying to find the right outfit to put on and wear to work.

 

I waited again. When you ran around the house getting ready I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello but you were too busy. At one point, you had to wait fifteen minutes with nothing to do except sit in a chair... Then I saw you spring to your feet, I thought you wanted to talk to me but you ran to the phone and called a friend to get the latest gossip.

 

I watched as you went to work and I waited patiently all day long. With all your activities, I guess you were too busy to say anything to me. I noticed that before lunch you looked around. Maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me, that is why you didn't bow your head. You glanced three or four tables over and you noticed some of your friends talking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn't. That's okay.

 

There is still more time left, and I have hope that you will talk to me even yet.

 

You went home and it seems as if you had lots of things to do. After a few of them were done you turned on the TV and ate your meal but again, you didn't talk to me. As you did your paperwork, I waited again. You did what you had to. At bedtime I guess you felt too tired. After you said goodnight to your family you plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time.

 

That's okay because you may not realize that I am always there for you. I've got patience more than you will ever know. I even want to teach you how to be patient with others as well.

 

Because I love you so much, a long time ago I left a wonderful place called Heaven and came to Earth. I gave it up so that I could be ridiculed and made fun of. I even died so you wouldn't have to take my place. I love you so much that I wait everyday for a nod, prayers or thought or a thankful part of your heart.

 

It's hard to have a one-sided conversation. Well, you are getting up again and once again I will wait with nothing but love for you, hoping that today you will give me some time. Have a nice day!

Last night on AMERICAN IDOL, the world's most viewed TV program started the program with the remaining 8 contestants and backed up with an incredible  choir singing the Christian anthem, "Shout to the Lord." A great witness to the 30 million plus viewers of Idol!

Way to go to the Contestants and Producers/Directors of the show for taking such a leap of Faith.

Just RANTING!!!!!

Yesterday when I got on I-70 at Odessa headed to Grain Valley,  a trucker (Dollar General) was to lazy to  get over for me to get on I-70 running me onto the shoulder.

Then he met up with another trucker and they both drove side by side 60MPH all the way to where I got off at Grain Valley 14 miles backing up traffic quit a ways, then further up till it runs into 3 lanes at Blue Springs I am assuming.

Why do SOME truckers (not saying all) have to act like idiot like these guys did, it is not my fault your fuel is so high, mine is to.

I heard truckers and police on the news a while back saying how much safer truckers are than cars, ya right, these idiots just proved them wrong.

I dont know why SOME truckers think they have to do irrotating things to other people.

For those not familar with the term "Rapture", here is a definition.

The word "rapture" does not occur in the Bible. The concept of the Rapture, though, is clearly taught in Scripture. The Rapture of the church is the event in which God removes all believers from the earth in order to make way for His righteous judgment to be poured out on the earth during the Tribulation period.
