Once again, his holiness Barak Obama has shown his true colors. This time, it may be a bit more difficult to smooth over since race isn't involved. These comments come from a man who has really never spent much time anywhere other than big government and big insttituions. They show his true view of small town America, and the good people who live there.

Recently the democratic savior said these words during a fund raiser in illionois:

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," Obama was quoted as saying by the Huffington Post.

"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations," he said.

How condescending. Yes, many Americans (myself included) cling to guns and the American way of life. It's called self reliance and rugged individualism. It's called mistrust of big government and socialist policies. But I suppose there isn't much room for that Barak's utopian society where people are stripped of their guns and right to self defense, turn to radical (and racist) religions such as his own, and sign away most of thier paychecks to him and his Robin Hood government.

And, predictably, his co-phoney Hillary opportunistically follwed up with John Cougar's (Mellanchamp, whatever his name is this week) song, "Small Town" at her next fund raiser. I thought she was from New York? Or was it Arkansas? Oh, wait... hang on, she speaks with a Southern Accent. Oh ya, that's only when she's in the South.

Hillary has since gone on record as "suppotring hunter's rights". This of course is a perfect demonstration of her lack of understanding of the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (assuming that's what she's getting at) and her revisionist history. Evidently, her reading of the 2nd amendment is, "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state; the right of the people to hunt and eat deer shall not be infringed".

Where do we come up with these jokers?

They are elitist comments because they are the elite.

Bill & Hillary made about 109 million since he left the white house.

Obama and over 85% of his fellow Senators are in the millionaires club. (total assets, etc.)

I would be fooling myself if I presumed that any of them "identified" with the folks from small towns whose vote they are trying to capture. They fly in private jets, don't go to the gas pump much, have private staff and assistants do most everything for them that the "common" man does.

The top three candidates will have spent nearly a billion dollars by the end of the campaign, collectively. All for a job that pays $400k/yr.

Would I want a candidate fresh from the Springer show that uses a battery post cleaner for a toothbrush? Or an elitist?

I watched the Clinton’s rise to power. I was never comfortable with Bill Clinton or his wife. In earlier times he would have been called a “snake oil salesman.” In modern times, he is more in line with a used care salesman, smooth, personable and not to be trusted. They didn’t nickname him “Slick Willie” for nothing. The Clintons have done nothing in their political life to change this image in my mind, so for me to consider Sen. Hillary Clinton a better choice of the two Democratic candidates doesn’t say much for Sen. Obama. He scares me. So I guess if that’s the choices the Democratic Party has, I say, it would be better to go with the devil you know (Hillary) than the one you don’t (Obama).

"Watch what I say, Not what I do."
That should be Obama's campaign slogan. Between his charitable contributions and the pastor of his church, Obama has TOTALLY convinced me that he is not a man of moral integrity.
Prior to 2005, Sen. Obama and his wife gave less than 1% of their AGI to charity; this while their combined income averaged over $240k. Since then, as his political ambitions and income expanded, so has his charity. My point? Like every Liberal advocate of social entitlement programs, these advocates GIVE far less than the average conservative. If these rob and grab politicians had ANY true feelings about what they advocate, why aren't they some of the biggest contributors to charity? Why don't they pay an extra $10 in taxes every year... just to back-up their social entitlement beliefs?
And particularly revealing is the overtly racial and radical preacher of Obama's church... which is the largest recipient of the Obama's charity. Wonder where Obama learns his inner most beliefs?
In my book, actions do all the speaking.

They don't want to give away their own money, Jdog, they want to give away YOUR money.

I always ask socialists the question, If you had $1 million and wanted to donate it to charity, to whom would you write the check out?

1. The Red Cross

2. Shriners' hospitals

3. THE IRS

Once again I bow down to your infinite wisdom Jp.
Seriously though, isn't a senators salary something like $169,300 per year?
It amazes me how much these senators make once they have been "on the hill" for a couple of years?
Where does all that new income come from?

hmmmm, I wonder if lobbyists have anything to do with all that extra cash they seem to have?

I'm writing in Jpbikerfreak for president.

Peace.

I love to discuss political philosophy. The problem I have is that liberals often assume I'm conservative and convserervatives often assume I'm liberal. It's because I'm neither. I'm libertarian, which means I believe in both social and economic freedom. I don't do personal attacks. I won't respond to yours, and I won't initiate one against you. So save yourself some time if you're thinking of flaming me!
