1. You did not allow for comments to your blog.
2. You said that there was a lot of "he said, she said" involved.
3. You never stated any facts about the case.
4. You obviuosly felt that Sara should have won her case. Without any facts I'm not at all sure.
5. Even if Sara took great pains to communicate with her ADA it doesn't necessarily mean that she should have won or that she was cheated by not winning. A poor case is a poor case no matter how much communication there is.
6. The best defense against domestic violence is being careful about who you are with and getting away from the situation before it gets bad. For instance, the first time the other person makes a move in anger you should get away. People need to exercise good judgement, it's their responsibility to themselves.
7. If you write a letter or complain to almost any government agency they will "investigate", it doesn't mean anything, they are obligated to investigate. An investigation does't prove any thing.
8. Charges of domestic violence are often just one party trying to "get back" at someone else on the flimsiest of pretexts.
9. I do recognize that there are true domestic violence cases that require prosecution. I, myself, have been a victim. The guilty parties need to be punished, sometimes severely so. I don't feel that you made a case even in your blog.
I have called every election since Carter (you have my word on that!). Right now I really don't have a feel for who the next Pres is going to be. I don't think that it will be a Democrat though. Their best people are not frontrunners at the moment and I just don't think that America, as a whole, is ready for what seems to be shaping up as a Hillary/Obama ticket. I think that our next Pres will be a moderate Republican despite the current dissatisfaction with GWB. We need someone who can unite this country and draw people together. The last thing we need at this point is a strong idealogue who will polarize us more over such things as immigration reform and the war in Iraq. We need someone who can bring us together with a comprehensive national energy policy. We need a compromiser who can work with both sides of the aisle when it comes to the House and Senate, a uniter on the scale of Ronald Reagan. We need someone who will stand up for the rights of the American People - all of the American People. More than anything else we need an electorate that can get behind the person we elect. We need to stop the constant backbiting and Pres bashing that went on through all of the Clinton & Bush years. My choice at the moment is Rudy Giuliani but there is a lot of time between now and election day. A lot could change between now and then.
