I have written blogs before about how bikers p*ss me off going in and out of traffic and acting like idiots. This morning both my husband and I were very moved by the news coverage of Miles for Medals. We were impressed by the dedication of the bikers to help these people to participate in the Special Olympics. What a wonderful, caring and beautiful thing they are doing! Thank you!! Please drive carefully and wear helmets!

In my neighborhood, we are the only ones who put out a recycle bin. Yes, its a little more work than just throwing everything in the trash sack, but a little care makes a big difference! I have quit going to places that just serve drinks in styrophome and only buy products that are in containers that we can recycle.

Morgan is one of those actors that everybody wants as their best friend. Everything I've seen him in he has been awesome! Last time I expressed the desire to pray for someone, I was rideculed. No one can fault me for this one!

We need to quit saying the animal's name that took Kelsey away from those who loved her. Sick, Little people like him only feel important when their name is all over the news and papers.
This is a hard time for Kelsey's family...and actually all of us that "adopted" Kelsey in our hearts while the search was on. My granddaughter, Sydney and I planted flowers and prayed for her every day. None of us need to hear what this animal did to her...we know this is going on in the courtroom, but please, give Kelsey some dignity in the press.
I cannot even imagine the pain her family is feeling. I want them to know that we are all praying for them.
Justice will be done in prison. Remember what happened to Dahmer?

I don't know if I spelled that right...so feel free to correct me.
I get so tired of hearing that car drivers are so irresponsible toward bikers. I think we all know we have to be extra careful when we are driving around a motorcycle...but I don't believe bikers always take extra care.
Today I was waiting to pull out of a parking lot on Leavenworth Road in KCK. A funeral precession was going by, so I just sat waiting for it to go by. A motorcycle behind me pulled around and gunned it to make it between two cars in the procession and sped up Leavenworth Road on the left side of all the cars following the hearse. How disrespectful!!!
32 years ago I hit a young man on a motorcycle and because of it, I didn't drive for almost 12 years. It wasn't my fault, but I was traumatized! I think bikers need to be held responsible for their actions!!

How many kids are we going to have to find dead before we enact a law that makes the death penalty mandatory? I am the grandmother of 3 girls between the ages of 11 and 15. I'm afraid if someone hurt one of my granddaughters, and they were not sentenced to death, I would find a way to do it myself. And to all these bleeding hearts that say death by injection is painful and inhumane!!! Get over it! I think we need to go back to hanging...or any other way that is painful.

I was one of the people that called and fought for Wy to have recycle pick-up. I'm very embarrassed for our county....so few are participating! I have talked to the people who live around me and everybody I come into contact with about recycling. Still, people don't seem interested. I had a hard time getting my husband on the bandwagon until he relized we used less trash bags!
Home owners north of the river are limited to 2 trash bags plus their recycle bin. I think we've been spoiled being able to drag anything we don't want out to the curb. How can we promote this? I am willing to do anything it takes!

Last year when all of us were praying for Kelsey's safe return, my grandaughter and I planted some flowers and put a sign above the flowers saying "For Kelsey". As a grandmother of teenage girls, this is a big concern for me....as I am sure it is for all of the KC area. I know Kelsey is looking down and protecting all the young ladies she can. I just want to let her parents know that this beautiful young woman has not been forgotten. The flowers have bloomed again...

I think what David Cook did was wonderful, but I think we need to give even more recognition to Brittany Harden, our Young Achiever! I personally don't know this young lady, and maybe I'm a bit taken by her graduating from my Alma Mater, but I believe she needs a parade, a party and any other way we can let her know how proud we are that one of our own has won the honor of being a Gates Millennium Scholar and that our prayers are with her through her journey at UCLA!! I am more proud today of Brittany than David Cook!

My heart goes out to Mr. Kennedy and his family. I think he was always considered the 'black sheep' of the family, and I'm sure it was hard to follow in his brothers' footsteps. Still, I wish him comfort, peace and no pain.

My husband is a truck driver. While he's away I do quite a bit of cooking so when he gets home I can just heat stuff up. I just made the Pesto Tortelloni recipe from the April 4 morning show....and OMG it is WONDERFUL! Its quick (roast a bunch of red onions at 250 for 1 hour and bag em for future use) and easy! And it has nothing to do with sports!!!

I just watched an expose' on the girls who were mixed up during a fatal car wreck. My heart goes out to all people involved, but I doubt if I could ever confuse my daughter with someone else. I know what she looks like from head to toe. I know her hairline, I know her eyebrows, I especially know what her hands and feet look like. I know where she has freckles and moles. Do you think this might be a false story?

What kind of sentence will this guy get for shooting a police officer with the intent to kill him? He had every intention of killing him, and it is only miracle that kept the officer alive. I believe this Rollins needs to be locked up for life. The guy that shot Presiden Reagan will never be out...and I think this is right on the same level as that crime.

I haven't heard anything today about the truck shutdown today except my husband's employer told him to pull it over this morning in Paducah KY. He has no info about how long he's going to be there or anything. Is this for 3 days? Any info out there at all?

I swear I just heard something the other day that science has proven that cell phones don't cause brain damage....now today they say again that they cause tumors from radiation. How did they figure this out? Do they have a tiny little blue tooth strapped to the head of mice? (BTW is the plural of blue tooth blue tooths or blue teeth?) What would a mouse have as a ring tone? What would a mouse talk about to his other mouse friends? Would the scientist program the numbers in? I don't know if a mouse can...but my husband figured it out, so thats a maybe.
So now do we have to worry about second hand radiation coming from cell phones of the people at the next booth in Applebee's? This could get complicated. Smoking with cells or without cells, non smoking with or without.
