Since so many people have posted something about the NASCAR season, I felt the need to post NHRA. Why do people not recognize this sport in the KC area? What is so great about NASCAR.  Anyways, the 2008 NHRA season started this past weekend in Pomona ,Ca. John Force is back and qualified in the top 10. Gregg Anderson is back to his old tricks, winning the first race of 2008. Will post more results later. NHRA RULES!! NASCAR SUCKS!

Saw on the news last night that some high school students want to be able to change the end of the National anthem? BOOGEDY? They said since the Cheifs do they, they have the right also. Guess what, these students DONT have ANY rights until they are 18! So, I fully agree with the principal, if they sing the wrong words, KICK THEM OUT !!!

In regards to Gov. Blunts comments last night on the news regarding ethanol fuel, I personally dont like the idea of paying more for my food that I eat. Yes, more ethanol use means that the price of corn, WILL go up. Like Castro has said, the poor will get poorer and hungry. Ethanol will NOT help issues. All it will do is help the auto manufactures sell more cars . The GOV ideas are STUPID! Drill in Alaska for more oil if you dont like it coming from mid-easr countries. Period.

Why were the roads that KDOT takes care off in such bad shape this mourning? 69 hwy in JO CO was very bad. Didnt even look like they had plowed it. THen, k-10 in Douglas Co, was very poor also. We didnt have enough snow for them NOT to be able to keep up or to have it all off by the rush hour. Poor job on KDOT's part today.

Saw this on the news last night. I cant belive how the coucil could over-ride the mayors decision. If he wants to get ride of someone, why cant he? Plus, this manager gets paid way to much so I can understand why he, the mayor, wants to remove him.

HAs anyone else noticed how quick the Kwik shop's raise the prices of gas? Like today in LAwrence, they went from $2.79 gal last night to $2.99gal today. While all the others are still $2.79. Whats wrong with this picture???

I just want to say stop and look at the common issue among both wrecks. Both of the drivers that caused the wrecks were un-trained, and under 18 years old. I feel that to get a license, re-newal or new, a driver should have to go thru a DEFENSIVE DRIVING SCHOOL. Not just drivers ed. Those instructors are just as dumb as every body else on the road today.

 It seems to me that most EVERYONE driving today is dumber than a years ago. People just drive as thou they are the only ones on the road or feel that they have the right to drive how ever they want to! WRONG!!! You have no right to drive like an idiot!!!

Hello, I just wanted to see how many others happened to be at Westport Saturday night, May 19th? Mill st was completly backed up by people "cruzing" and then hanging out in the sunfresh parking lot. Guess what happened next, GUN SHOTS! This happend about the same time the shots were fired at 39th and Broadway.  I called KCMO police dept yesterday, and all the could say is that that parking lot is private property. They told me to call Sunfresh and complain and ask for the owner who wont do anything about the problem.  The type of people that were hanging out, dont need to be in Westport. All they are is trouble.

 This seems like bad business for them. Everybody who saw this, call Sunfresh and complain. The number is 816-931-1639.
