May 19, 2007 from 9am to noon, Antioch Road from Shawnee Mission Parkway to 71st Street in Merriam, Kansas, will be closed due to Turkey Creek's Festival and Parade.  If you want to attend the festival, free admission, but the best place to park will be Merriam Town Center at I-35 and Johnson Drive, then ride a shuttle bus to the festival.  The only alternate routes I know of are to take I-35 or the frontage road.

I have heard of some City officials talking about installing red-light cameras at major intersections. These cameras take a picture of the vehicle's license plate then send the owner of the vehicle a ticket. I want to know if the city should continue with this plan or if they should not continue with it. I for one will sue any city official who sends me a ticket if someone else is driving my car and commits a crime. As the cops put it, "If you are driving the car, you are responsible for everything that happens with that vehicle". I know that there are times where the owner of the vehicle is not the one driving the vehicle, and I do not think it is fair for the owner of the vehicle to get a ticket when he or she was not the one driving the vehicle to begin with.

I am a storm spotter for Fox 4 and I am fascinated with weather. I have always wanted to be a meteorologist. I call storms "nature's fireworks" and will sit and watch storms for as long as I can. I am somewhat shy, but I will talk to some people. I want to someday ride in Storm Fox or SkyFox and chase storms.
