An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and un-clutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15 Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19 Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus."
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33 Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before.
GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.
"If God is for us, who can be against us?"
(Romans 8:31)
God whispers in your soul and speaks to your mind. Sometimes when you don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at you. It's your choice: Listen to the whisper, or wait for the brick.

We're talking about an icon here!!! Just like Starlight Theater, or Crown Center, Union Station or The Nelson Art Gallery. The Kansas City Zoo is something special that I have lots of memories of and I hold dear to my heart. I plan to take my childrens' children to see the seals and the peacocks. I want them to ride the train and gaze @ the elephants. Please, whoever is in charge of the budget here in one of the greatest towns in America, please don't shut down my zoo.

I'm sure many of you in my generation remember on a Saturday night, sitting around the television w/ the family, eating popcorn and laughing to beat the band @ Get Smart w/ Don Adams. When my 13 year old came to me today, and after introducing him to the world of Maxwell Smart in an old movie, he was excited for me to view the new movie preview of Get Smart. Now, I didn't think anyone could do it, but Steve Carell is a shoe-in (pun intended) for this part. I called my dad and made a date for this summer 'cause I'm taking him to this; I can't wait!

My kids and some friends of mine can't wait for Thursday nights when LOST is invading our living room. If you all have not seen this great show yet, go online to the LOST web site or go to our library and get the back episodes and get caught up. It's the only evening show worth watching and it's fun and mysterious, romantic and never boring. I hardly ever hear bad language and it's for the whole family to get into. My friends and kids get together and have a LOST party w/ all the lights out and plenty of eats!!! Too much fun!

Getting our minds off the cold weather, and politics, my friend ad I put together a list of the most unsual names we've heard through-out the years...First names that is; altho I've heard some pretty funny last names too...I happen to have one of those, unsual last names. Nope, won't give that away. I've heard of Treasure and Mercy...How 'bout all of you?

Weather
I know most of you would like to kick me in the pants about now but I love this weather soooo much! Rain and thunder and lightening then later, snow. I've always loved adverse weather every since I was little. My dad took us to get ice cream in the middle of thunderstorms to the drive-in on highway 7. I want a blizzard and lots of snow. I'll keep my family in safe and warm w/ lots of warm hot chocolate and movies we've recorded and havn't had time to watch because of our busy lives. Bring it on Mother Nature! Yipeee!

I love our President. I envy the ones who will shake hands w/ him today. Those who will meet him today in our great town. I've always wanted to meet him. But, I'm an ordinary, stay @ home mom. Voter of the Republican ticket, and it's not in the cards for me. I pray for him and his family and am in awe of his ability to show his emotion of love to those who feel lost. I'll never foget the photo of him holding a child after the Sept. 11 attacks. Bless you, Mr. Bush. Enjoy our town. My family loves you.
