We all agree gas prices are high. But, would a gas tax holiday help?
The proposal:Consumers would still pay the state's 17 cent gas tax but could later
petition for reimbursement. The legislation would apply to gas bought
from May 24 through midnight Sept. 2.
So, what do you think? And if this isn't a good idea - what is?

They debuted about two years ago. But, they still live online and continue to reach new customers. Talk about viral marketing!
There is now a trunk monkey web site and trunk monkey gear you can buy. If you haven't seen them, they're worth checking out. Pretty funny stuff.

I'll start it off... St. Patrick's Day is taking place during Holy Week. Does that worry anyone?
Plus, Easter is coming up... what is your Easter tradition?
And, if you're Jewish, can you believe how late Passover is this year?

[email protected]. They'll be read to Tony in the hospital.
(Courtesy: www.iaje.org)
The Chiefs web site said this about Dipardo in 1995:
"Lamar Hunt called him and asked him to lead his Arrowhead Stadium pep band. Hank Stram made sure he received a Super
Bowl ring more than 30 years after the fact. And Dante Hall flips him the ball after scoring a touchdown.
Tony DiPardo has been enriching the Kansas City Chiefs organization for 33 years with his rousing music and
immutable personality."

Do you think Eliot Spitzer's wife should have stood by his side as he admitted to wrongdoings and then later resigned? She was with him both times.
The New York Governor resigned yesterday after being linked to paying a lot of money for prostitutes.
If you don't think she should have been there, why do you think she did it?

A small paper in Garnett, Kansas printed the following comment left anonymously on their comment line.
"I hereby declare open season year round on c**ns (rhymes with moons), and I'm not talking about the furry four-legged kind."
Readers were shocked and upset that the publisher decided to run the comment. The publisher said he was exposing racism.
What do you think? Was the comment fit to print? Did it do more good in print or left on an answering machine?

It takes incredible strength to be a mother... and I have to imagine, it takes a kind of inner peace and a big heart to be the mother of twins almost certainly headed for tragedy. So was the case of Jackie Hemphill.
Five months into her pregnancy, she knew her twins were conjoined at the heart. The doctors said they would most certainly not make it. But, she carried them to term anyway. She said she just wanted to hear them and hold them. And, she did.
Today, those twins died. While not a surprise, I'm sure many hoped something could have been done. Some medical miracle. But, real life is not like TV or the movies. The twins got to spend one week out in the world and their mother got to hold them for one day.
Please feel free to leave your message for Jackie here. I extend her the deepest sympathies. I don't know if it's the rarity of this story, or the tiny lives at the center of it. But, in a newsroom often filled with stories of tragic endings, this one has truly touched me.

Elton John... Hannah Montana... is Garth Brooks next?
Ticket information for Garth Brooks is being announced on Wednesday for the Sprint Center. But, some ticket sites are already selling seats for thousands of dollars.
Now, I'm not a huge Garth fan. But, I know other people would jump through hoops for Garth Brooks - especially since he is only playing one show and it's here in KC!!!
So, I pose this question: is there any real chance to get tickets? And, are those second-hand sites for real? FOX 4 tried to buy a ticket for $300. We have yet to receive a confirmation email.
