I don't know any of you all, and you don't know me. But when Chief  challenged my faith as well as BusyBee's, I took issue.   I am a Christian. God has His way everyday of putting me in my humble place.  When I change diapers and I have poo on my hands or sweats and a t-sirt on because I am a full-time Nanny, then I take a deep breath when I look @ other women w/ pretty looks and figures I have to remember what I'm here on this earth for.  I love my job, very much...I work w/ kids.  Even @ church, I work w/ kids. they're my life.  God has had to get me off my high horse and made me reaize this is where He wants me...Not in a prestiegeous job, not looking glamoreous, but in  the humbled state of my Christianity as a servent for Him.  I have my 'rights' stomped on many times during the day, when I'm cleaning up after teenagers, putting a sink full of dirty dishes from the night before into an empty dishwasher in the morning while everyone else is cozy in their beds.  But God shows this woman here, me, that's where He wants me. I'm His servent and I'm humbled everyday in this life that He has  choosen for me.  I don't care to be one of the Christians who look to the crowd and ask to be honered.  Every day, as Christians, we are to be servents of our fellow man.  I have to work @ that every day. Yes, it's humbling; but the award for humility in the end will be when I die. I long to hear the words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant."

As we were walking to the Sprint Center, to the circus, this elephant was going down the street, in the middle of Kansas City!

I remember like it was yesterday, it was around 9 in the morning and my mom called, while I was in the kitchen about to get another cup of coffee.  Thinking she phoned me to tell me in her cheery voice, 'Happy Birthday, Darling', she  had panic in her voice; 'Honey, turn on the Tv. A bomb went of in the World Trade Center.'  As my children and I gathered around, it was almost like watching a movie as the second plane crashed into the second building.  We could barely breathe.  Around noon, we reluctantly got ready for the anual lunch date with my mom . We stopped everything to see what was happening; but mom still insisted on taking us out to celebrate @ the resturant, and asked them to sing Happy Birthday to me.  I was so embarressed as people glared @ me in discust. I wanted to run and hide; no, to run to them and explain how my mom loves me and I'm her child and even though we see the ambulances and smoke pouring out of the buildings on all the TV's they have in the diner. She wants me to know I'm her first born, I'm special, she means no harm....she doens't mean to be insensitive! Ugg!  So, to all who join w/ me today, September 11, 2008, let us celebrate our lives and the blessings God has given us. BUT let us never forget the lives that were lost, and pray for those today who will shed a tear for their loved ones who gave their lives today. Yes, I'm proud to be an American, and blessed that God has allowed me to live for 54 years. Happy Birthday to those who share this day with me.

Quite honestly, I didn't know too much about John McCain, and  I'd never even heard of Sarah Palin, until last week. But I tell you what; after reading and listening to them this week @ the RNC  I'm convinced they're not just showboat, they're the genunine article and they mean what they say. I'm very impressed w/ the families as well.    I'm looking forward to the Nov. vote so I can watch them grab hold of the public and win by a landslide!!!

Watching the DNC is better this year  than the previous years...I guess because I'm older and I care about what's going on in my country,  & I'm paying closer attention. My daughter will vote for the first time because she just turned 18.  Now my point to this blog is this.  I feel I have every right to jump up and raise my fist in the air and scream when my taxes are being raised; or when the price of gas raises again. It's my privlege to make comments about Hillary's speech as well, or gasp because Obama has been voted in for the Democratic nonimee.  I have these rights because I'm a registered voter and have been for years.  So, fellow bloggers,  if you're not a registered voter, you have no right, IMO, to gripe, sneer, gaffaw or show gestures when the wrong man wins the Presidental election.  I've been listening to the public and reading the comments by some who don't wish to vote and the reasons they have.  Bottom line. If you didn't vote you have no say in the matter. So, be still.  Many men fought for our right to vote. So, get off your fanny and get registered. Vote and be proud you did vote and be proud we live in the greatest country in the world where we can vote!!

I'll have to say Hillary had her speach designed to feather her nest for the 2012 election for President.  She's wanting to get into the Whitehouse as Ms Prez and will use every tactic to do so...I'm not the one who is saying this. One of the commentaters on Fox News said this last night.  I agree w/ him. She was full of dynamite and raren' to goooooo!

She thinks she's a rock star.  She had the smile, the glitter, and yes, the bright orange pant suit.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38 KJV).

God loves you so much today. He wants you to know and experience His love. When you experience something, it becomes real to you. You “own” it, so to speak. For example, if you’ve never eaten chocolate, someone else can describe it to you. They can tell you all about the taste and texture, but until you take a bite of it, it won’t really mean anything.

In the same way, you can hear all about God’s love and how wonderful He is, but it’s not until you experience it first hand and allow His love to sink down into your heart, that something happens on the inside of you. His love changes you. It builds confidence and strength in you. It empowers you to overcome temptation and to stand strong no matter what difficulty you may be facing. When you open your heart and receive His love, you will be fully persuaded that nothing can separate you from Him!

My husband and I are celebratin the fact that all of our kids are gone for 10 days on a mission trip. He surprised me w/ a couple of tickets to see the Royals game in the club seating w/ the all-you-can-eat food bar.  It was elation because it's been years since I've gotton to go see my Royals.  Everything was going well, for us and then it happened.   As pictures of the crowd flashed on the huge screen, it came upon 2 young women who couldn't resist showing off by kissing each other in front of hundreds w/ families.   On the way home I noticed a bilboard that said it all. Behold, we are in the days like Sodom and Gamorra.   'Nough said.

"The fool says in his heart,'There is no God.' "  This designation goes for those who doubt God's sovereignty as well as those who deny Him.  Either He is sovereign, or He is not God. Therefore, when we become so preoccupied with, and dismayed by circumstances, and certain people that we doubt God's ability to handle things in His own way, and in His own time, then we, too, are fools.

You, yes I'm talking to you. The big guy w/ the compassionate wife. The big guy who didn't like it that your 1 and a half - 2year old was acting up so you slapped him accross the face today in Nebraska Funiture Mart.  Shame on you...Your the one who wanted to stand behind all the other morons to see Dora and wait for 2-3 hours, not the child.  I wanted to come up to you and give it to you but you're bigger than me...You big bully...Someday I hope someone turns around and hits you just the way you hit your child...You big bully.

I prayed for those 2 little girls' killer to be found. Whoever he or she is, they will get caught. Those little souls were only 13 and 11, people. They lived in rural Oklahama! Only 1000 people live in that city. Two little girls walking down a dirt road on a Sunday afternoon and then the monster appeard. I am livid and heartbroken when I hear about children who are murdered. I hope the killer will get caught and tried by the end of the week.

When my husband came home from work last night I asked him to take me to an expensive place.  He took me to the gas station.
