When Trent Green's name is announced, please don't boo him.  Yes he is on the opposing team but I truly believe Trent wanted to stay in KC.  His hand was forced by King Carl and he had no choice but to go.  Trent gave Chiefs fans some exciting moments during his tenure and was a class act on and off the field.  This wasn't a guy that was being greedy and was seeking to be paid more and held out.  I wish him the best of luck and hope he bounces back from a challenging year last year.

I heard a mixture of boos and cheers from the fans that were there. Sure were a lot of empty seats there. Things could finally be heading back to empty seats again and the Chiefs will need to provide a winner before the fans will come back. Sure it was pre-season but usually the Cheifs fans represent. The announced attendance was 70,217. Sure seemed like a lot less than that on TV. That must be how many tickets they sold and not how many were actually in attendance. The offense should have been booed. This team will struggle to score points and the kicker situation is unacceptable. Dustin Colquitt's leg may fall off this year from having to punt so much. It is only pre-season but all of the ?'s from another post I had on the Chiefs are not being answered, at least in a positive perspective. I stick with my 6-10 prediction but based on pre-season, that may be optimistic.

Medlock sure had a come-apart. I wonder if the Chiefs will go out and find a veteran kicker before the start of the regular season.

Does anyone else think the Peterson is our problem or is it just me?

I don't think attendance will be a problem with Chief's games this year. After all, half of the attendees are there for BBQ, right? I've lived in a few NFL cities and I can honestly say that KC has the other beat with it comes to being faithful to their team. I've never seen so much red in a stadium on game day. Before moving here, I was told although the Chief's color is red, leave my 49er stuff behind or better yet, burn it. Now I wear my Seahawks jersey. It's pretty safe in KC since they are in a different Division. GO CHIEFS.

Football fans booing a player from an opposing team is going to happen. Especially if that player was once on "your" team and then left. No matter what the reason. i always thought that Trent green was a class act. He did alot for the Kansas City area, both on and off the feild. I think what we really need to remember is that Football, as well as any other professional sport is above all else, a business. They dont care who you boo or cheer, as long as you pay for the ticket and buy their stuff. Is Carl Peterson the problem? I dont really know. Are the Cheifs a good team? From what I have seen, not really. That doesn't mean I am not a Chiefs fan. Because I am. But remember, it is a business first.

During the pregame playoff game with Indianapolis , Herm told a Sports reporter KSHB TV that if Trent Green did not move the cheifs during the First half he would replace Trent green with damon Hurad in the second half. Herm did not do what he said he would. At times I see that Herm looks Confused , he does not seem like he knows what he is doing out there. At times I dont even think that Herm knows what down it is. As For Gunther Cuningham well you can throw against his defense all game long. The line is getting old and decriped. The cheifs need a Coaching staff that Knows how to coach.

I am not crazy about Herm... Maybe he will prove himself this year..

The players need coaches that know what the heck they are doing.

Carl Peterson is the main issue with this team.

Look for TV blackouts soon...

I will still be cheering for them, no matter what!!!!

cdanforth, peterson hasn't played a down, I think dsotoman hit it on the head, herm hasn't played a down either, but....he puts the players in there and develops a strategy for those who do. How quick we forget Gannon/Grbac and that playoff decision. Peterson's job is to fill the stands and has done a wonderful job. The best message to send him would be to save the $150 and watch it at home. The waiting list for season tickets message has already been sent, from 10k-12k people to almost none!

Peterson as a business person is a genius, Peterson in any other form with the Chiefs is a disaster.

booing--part of the game, it shouldn't make 'em cry! Those guys in red tights look big enough to take it. Doesn't bother me when i get "booed" at work.
