When Trent Green's name is announced, please don't boo him.  Yes he is on the opposing team but I truly believe Trent wanted to stay in KC.  His hand was forced by King Carl and he had no choice but to go.  Trent gave Chiefs fans some exciting moments during his tenure and was a class act on and off the field.  This wasn't a guy that was being greedy and was seeking to be paid more and held out.  I wish him the best of luck and hope he bounces back from a challenging year last year.

If you had followed the story about the police officer that had been fired for "viewing porn on the job", the past several months, you would have thought either a) this guy is a pedophile, b) a pervert, or c) both.  My wife was appalled when she heard this guy got his job back.  Well finally the rest of the story was told last night and the guy was on a car web site that had women on there that were not nude but scantily dressed.  He therefeore was not viewing porn as reported by the news.  Whatever happened to using the word "allegedly".  My wife then changed her tone and said no he shouldn't have been fired for that.

The problem is the news only initially reported part of the news.   In their teasers they make a statement like, "The police offricer fired for viewing pron at work, gets his job back".  Those only hearing part of the story have tried and convicted this guy in the court of public opinion.  It is this reporting of only part of the information that really irks me about today's news.  I am getting to the point where I will just tune out the news and just look for the truth through various other sources.

It's time for the news to take some responsibility and stop using the tabloid tactics to run a news station.

I would like to know how the women feel with the possibility of Hillary Clinton becoming President?  The reason I ask is this would be a major breakthrough for women but could also become a major disaster for them as well.

What I mean by that is what happens if she fails miserably?  This could set women back 100 years when it comes to having a shot at the Presidency again, because people would say that it is no place for a woman and Hillary just proved that.

Do the women out there like Hillary and think she is the best WOMAN for the job?  If not what WOMAN would be the best candidate?

Do the women out there prefer one gender to the other for the Presidency?

Let me close by saying that I don't have a problem with having a woman President but that I am not sure Hillary is the answer.  I am also just asking these questions and there are no wrong or right answers.  I would just like your thoughts on the subject.

When Michelle Bhaskar went to the police with her story her boyfriend  claimed they "were sitting in a vehicle when they were approached by two unidentified black males, one armed with a gun."  The man told officers that the men took Bhaskar. Investigators later found Bhaskar's car at 52nd Street and College Avenue in Kansas City.

"Bhaskar told police that a family member of one of the carjackers took her to an Overland Park, Kan., gas station, not far from where she lives."

OK I have a couple of problems with her story if is is indeed a lie.  First of all, I find it repulsive that she blamed two black men for the abduction.  If this is a made up story, then why did her boyfriend and her claim it was black men?  Are they racists?  I am a white male and I am ticked off for the black community if these allegations are false.  Unless she was blind folded the whole time, she could have a description of the alleged carjackers and also the kind family member who gave her a ride.

Second, If a family member of one of the carjackers gave her a ride back to wherever, wouldn't the police be able to identify the carjacker who was related to this generous person that gave her a ride back to wherever?  It seems the family member would have pictures of the alleged carjacker and a name that could be posted on the news.

This whole story is bizarre to say the least but I will be really ticked if our tax payer dollars were wasted on this stunt and these idiots made comments that will continue to fuel a racial divide because of their own racist beliefs.  This case should not be dropped.  The news and police need to pursue the truth and if these people were lying, they need to be prosecuted, fined etc.

Here we go again for a possible NHL team to relocate to Kansas City.  Only this time the terms are a bit different.  This isn't a city holding hostage their taxpayers to finance a new arena.  In this situation you have a team that has seen its attendance lower over the years and needs to relocate to be financially stable.  There was a deal in place to sell this team to Canadian billionaire Jim Balsillie, who wanted to move the team to Hamilton, Ontario in Canada.  However, Jim went around the rules laid out by the NHL on how these deals should proceed which angered the Commissioner and the Board of Governors in the NHL.  The deal has since been killed.  In comes a deal to sell the team to William “Boots” Del Biaggio III.  He has the exclusive rights to own a team at the Sprint Center.  There are still many hurdles to climb and the deal would need to be approved by other NHL owners but this is quite different and a more likely deal than the Penguins.

Kansas City would inherit a talented team with likes of Peter Forsberg, Paul Kariya, J.P. Dumont and others.  They would have a great one two punch with the goaltending of Tomas Vokoun and Chris Mason.  This a very good team and one that would be a contender right out of the gates.  Of course, the earliest they could come to KC is the beginning of the 2008-2009 season because they have one year left in Nashville on their current lease.

Let's hope this is a deal that gets done and isn't another pipedream.

Hillary Clinton was on the campaign trail in Iowa with her limousine driver when a cow crossed the road and the limousine struck it and killed it. Concerned about how this might look with all the cameras around, Hillary told the driver that he needed to find the owner to let them know what happened. Hillary said she would wait in the car. The driver went to the first farmhouse that he saw and went inside. He was gone for over an hour so Hillary went to look for him. He came staggering out of the farmhouse with his clothes half torn, lipstick on his cheeks and wreaking of alcohol. Hillary asked the limousine driver what happened. He said the husband gave me a 20 year old bottle of bourbon, the wife gave me a $50 Cuban cigar, and his twin 18 year old daughters started tearing my clothes off. Hillary asked what did you say to them? I just told them the truth. I told them that I was Hillary Clinton's driver and that there was an accident and that I had killed the old cow.

In an effort to keep the number 8 on his race car, Dale Jr. has agreed to change it to .08  This of course is the blood alcohol content at which you are considered legally drunk.  Jr. could preserve his beloved #8 and provide a public service message while still driving for Budweiser.  The message would be to buy Budweiser but drink responsibly.  The necks would only have to buy a decimal and a "0" to add to their #8's on their pickup trucks and Camaros.  This would keep them from having to peel off their current #8's.

Of course if Jr. really wanted to please the fans, he would switch to racing for PBR.  Some say that is short for Pabst Blue Ribbon but it actually stands for Preferred Beer for Rednecks.

The made a movie about her brain it was called "The Black Hole"

The made another movie about her brain called "Gone With the Wind".

If we ever want a championship for either of these teams, it needs to happen.  The Angels and Ducks have both won championships and both were owned at some time by Disney.  The Ducks just won the championship but Disney sold them in 2005.  It may be the best chance for KC to finally get a championship in something other than BBQ.

She is now in house arrest wearing an ankle bracelet (diamond studded I am sure).  Just goes to show if you have money you can buy your way out of situations like this.  Plus she got credit for serving 5 days.  She turned herself in at 11:45 Sunday night and gets full credit for that day.  Sounds like a fair legal system to me.  But then again we are talking about Los Angeles and that is not a normal place.  This is the same place where OJ and Robert Blake were found innocent.

I hope she has learned her lesson but my guess she hasn't.  Eventually she will get behind the wheel drunk again and probably kill someone.  But hey she has paid her debt to society so it is OK.  Whatever.

Poor thing I imagine it will be difficult being locked up in a 20,000 square foot mansion with all the amenities of a 5 star resort.  Please wear an arm band to show your support for the rest of her sentence in hopes that she will make it through this horrific situation.

Glad to see this guy finally get indicted.  No politician from any party should get away with this kind of behavior.  Maybe one day these greedy you know whats will get the message that it is not OK to accept bribes etc.  I'm sure he is not alone but just one of them that has been caught.  That state has some serious issues and this guy needs to serve the full time if convicted.

Did anyone else see the interview with Newt Gingrich?  I have not paid much attention to him since he announced his adulterous affaitr a few months back.  There were several points he made yesterday that made sense.

He is out pimping his latest book so that is part of the whole parade that is Newt but ome thing that was an interesting point but could be argued so many ways is his comparison of the 9/11 attacks and our response to it and Pearl Harbor and how this country had a plan, executed it and the war was over.  It sounded straight and simple but unfortunately we aren't fighting a country but an ideology that spreads farther than a confined border.

He was very critical of Bush so I thought that was interesting as well.  It may be hard to win the party nomination being so anti-Bush.  Again that is the tough line Republicans are going to have.  They have to be pro-Bush to win the party nomination but anti-Bush to win the presidency.  They will have to do some flip flopping to pull that off.

As a non-party member, I liked most of what I heard from him on issues like the war, immigration etc.

Still undecided but some of the people are shaking out and I will have to keep watching the debates for more information.

I missed last night's debate and will have to record tomorrow night's.

Adam Kokesh is a former marine who was honorably discharged.  June 4th Adam will have a hearing in KC for protesting the war in Iraq.  The military is threatening to change his discharge now as an "other than honorable discharge".

His threatened bad discharge -- under other than honorable conditions in military parlance -- was a result of Operation First Casualty, a "mock combat patrol" he and eleven other war veterans, including Madden, participated in during a protest in Washington, D.C., on March 19, and an e-mail exchange between Kokesh and the officer recommending his bad conduct discharge

Kokesh doesn't deny he was disrespectful in an e-mail to the officer who informed him of the potential action against him, telling him to perform an anatomically impossible act before calling himself a PFC or "Proud (expletive) Civilian."

Nor does he deny that he participated in the mock combat patrol in a military style uniform. He insisted he wore no markings or insignia on his camos, but according to the letter he received, he could be charged with commission of a serious offense for appearing "at a political event or activity in the Washington, D.C., area in your Marine Corps uniform which violated (regulations)."

If the guy is no longer active and wore no markings or insignia then what is the problem.  He could get the same clothing from a military surplus store.  I feel the people that have the most right to speak up about the war in Iraq are those that have served and been there.  They deserve to practice the first amendment especially since they have put their lives on the line to protect it.

This hearing is a joke.  This guy is going to get so much press over this and it will feed the liberal anti-war agenda.   It will only backfire for the military and the Bush administration.  They should let it go now before it becomes a bigger deal for the anti-war groups

I say props to this guy for speaking out especially since he was there.
