I am not an avid sports fan,so when the CHIEFS played I was not expecting much.......I was wrong,they came out great and our house full of CHIEFS fans all felt they are looking great ,keep up the great work Herm,it sure felt great to see the team win!

Remember all those stupid stories ? Maybe the NATIONAL ENQUIRER is more accurate than you would think .Now I do not believe in a bat boy or most of the other stories they print ,but every now and then they somehow get a real story. Who would have thought JOHN EDWARDS  would  do something so stupid,here is a man of power and appears to have a great family,the question is why? Why take a chance at losing all you have ? What a shame!

Who would think any child would decide to go out at 3 in the morning I am sure her folks were not even aware she was gone. Thankfully  ROBERT BARNES the man who picked her up is a hero in my heart! Of all the things that could have gone wrong thankfully did not, you saved that child and that makes you a HERO in my book,THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ROBERT,there are ANGELS AMONG US AND YOU ARE ONE!

We all love our gas burners,but with fuel prices being at record highs,who wouldn`t love a vehicle that runs on cheaper energy. The reality sets in on who will be able to afford the hybrid  vehicle? It is so unreachable for the average person to go out and buy a new car  let alone a hybrid.How are we going to get rid of all gas burning cars?It is like going from horse and buggy to the horseless carriage,it took awhile for folks to go for it.FORD built a cheap car so the average person could afford.Now you look at new cars and trucks and it is $10,000-$30,000 for a new car,and the car makers do not want the average AMERICAN to buy some cutrate low budget car or truck ,Americans want all the bells and whistles you can put on! Now by the time the poor person gets that nice new car or truck it has been used and abused and they still want a chunk of money for a used vehicle that barely passes emission standards let alone the safety  aspect.The reality I see is I will probably never be able to afford a HYBRID. I just do not see the conversion  being made as easy as a horse to a horseless carriage,the overall cost and availability to the poor working class that has little choice on how to get to work.I would love to see everyone have a HYBRID ,but our economy and the cost to produce the HYBRID and make a profit at it. I can see the upper middle class to the extreme wealthy  owning them. Maybe we should find other ways to make gasoline motors that actually get the high gas mileage of TOYOTA.The big car makers are cutting production of the trucks and are going to build cars that they made for overseas sales available in AMERICA,why were these cars never sold in this country in the first place?The simple answer would be the amount of money being made on the trucks and the big cars and HUMMERS. Really who in every day AMERICA needs a HUMMER? I guess that is one thing  every soccer mom needs,a 10 mpg tank on wheels.

Some nut stabbed a sleeping passenger on a Canadian greyhound bus and calmly decapitates the poor guy and shows off his head to everyone.Riders held the nut until cops showed up and then he tried to make a feeble escape,but was captured,what posseses people to be so cold and uncaring/? Do local buses have any type of security or is it fend for yourselve?

Last night I was in Ottawa Ks. when I headed east to Louisburg on 68 hwy.  I was driving 65 and this storm stayed even  with me as it went towards Pleasanton Ks. last night. My question is this,was it moving at 65 m.p.h. which I do not think it was,or is it that the storm just appeared to keep an even pace with me.Set me straight.

Get rid of these lifelong Government  flunkies who do nothing but blow a lot of useless hot air ,how come we keep so many useless people in office and why they keep getting re-elected beats me.It is to the point of why should I vote? All they do is make promises they never keep.The greed of the wealthy will ruin this country,we need a President ,BUSH is a lame duck now and he seems intent in ticking everyone off,when BUSH leaves the world may cool off quite a bit.Elected officials have no idea of what the real AMERICAN citizen is facing nor do they care.How about cutting their pay and see how they like working for nothing,you will never see that happen.The office of the PRESIDENT use to mean something,the congress and senate debate for hours on stupid bills that have nothing to do with the here and now,they are just worried about bailing out Freddie and Fannie,not extending a hand  to the working people,all we get is shut up and take what you get. In the end we can all thank George Bush for taking a great nation down into the gutter ,Let`s give him a pay raise too doesn`t he deserve it?

How come with the price of oil dropping almost 9 dollars a barrel we are not seeing the price at the pumps dropping? I  know when the cost of oil was rising the stations increased the cost,but yet with an $8.00 drop I have yet seen any lowering anywhere,it just ain`t right !

Why is it that most goverment jobs that have to be bid on always go to the lowest bidder? You have not ever hear of anyone that is in a political office being hired or elected for the lowest dollar amount.Why is it with high gas prices you see the Presidential nominees burning huge amounts of jet fuel and these big planes do not  look fully loaded.  Mrs.Obama wants you to fork over $1000.00 just to hear her speak,I don`t think so.I think more money is wasted and natural resources also, we can get into space with the cheapest builder ,build roads and bridges and buildings,but what are we really getting for our money by going with the lowest bidder? Why not replace all these big crown vic cop cars with smaller more economical cars? You want a hybred car hope you have lots of money because they do not build these cars for next to nothing.Well thanks for reading my random thought,feel free to add your thoughts.

WOW Louisburg just got  the rain it started with a huge blowing wind and now a hard rain but nice and cool. The winds have eased a bit the tree tops were bending  and now the lightning has struck by very close,nice summer storm.

RUSH is back in town and if you missed their show last time around  you missed a great concert! ! This time it will be at STARLIGHT this SATURDAY evening at 7:30. Looking forward to a great concert and hopefully the weather will hold back on the rain,it was hot last time at sandstone,but it was worth it.So if you go post your story here and I will hopefully get better pictures this time!

Just had our septic tank and lines cleaned out and it was over $500.00,I wonder how much it will cost to fix the problem at the space station? 

How come every time you have some amazing video you put up the fox four banner? Last night you were showing the twister video and then the banner pops up,this is very annoying and ruins the video. Does anyone else out there not like these banners popping up on our t.v. screens? It is like having pop up ads on your computer, It drives me crazy,can you do something different ,put it at the top,make it clearer,get rid of them completely,ya know something positive,thanks

We have without much choice  decided to stay home and not buy any gas all weekend.What is the point in having a three day weekend when it cost so much for gasoline,by the time you get any distance from home your cutting your fun money down to we need gas money! We went grocery shopping and actually got  a lot of great deals and saved quite a bit of money! It is cheaper to call all the family than to try and get everyone  to meet like we used to ,another family tradition lost because of high gas cost! How many others stayed home this weekend,not counting those that have to work ? 

Well evidently our elected officials have screwed up the FARM BILL,all because someone did not notice a 30 some pages of the bill were missing! The PRESIDENT or his staff failed to notice this as well,is this how things are done in the GOVERNMENT ? Maybe we need to get some younger blood in congress and senate,are they just so busy protecting us citizens that they can not take the time to read a BILL ?I do not care how many pages it is we are talking about elected officials that are incompetent,or uncaring must not be doing the job they were elected to do!Whoever caught this mistake should get a promotion and a raise!
